The Bread Basket has become a favorite, but since Michael and Sarah took over, it’s truly next level. Their lahmajoon is hands down the best I’ve been introduced to. It’s crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. What really sets this place apart is how Michael and Sarah treat everyone like family. They’ve brought new life into the bakery while keeping its roots strong. You walk in for the food but keep coming back for the love and care they put into everything. So thankful for what they’re doing. This place is a gem! Once a week to stack up is a vibe!

What a gem! First off I happened to stumble upon this place due to have a craving for baklava but then my world was opened up to so many incredibly delicious treats thanks to Rita. I truly regret not grabbing one of everything in there. My mom and me tried a little bit of everything we got while in the car and couldn’t stop talking about our next trip to Fresno simply to stop here. And to top it all off how friendly she was to us just made this find so much more enjoyable. Go here! She’ll put you on to all the good stuff. Thank you again!

Bread Basket Bakery is one of the best bakery’s in Fresno! All the authentic food is so delicious leaves the flavor in my mouth all day. The prices are perfect, responsible prices. The owners are incredible, you will be treated like family. Such a wonderful place to come and eat and enjoy the atmosphere. This is a must go bakery!

It had been a couple of months since my prior visit. The lahmajouns were good then, but now have improved! A touch thinner, yet more flavorful with a touch of spice. 😋 I like the spinach boreg, which has lots of spinach and a bit of tanginess. The quite sizeable meat boreg with cabbage and onion is a home run! I will pick some more up on my late afternoon/early evening way home. The pistachio flakey pastry covered with powder sugar was delicious too!

So good! Old school bakery serving up delicious Armenian breads, pastries, and savory foods. I miss family-owned businesses… this one checks all of my boxes for products and service delivered with care and pride.

Amazing owners, amazing food. Took my wife and family member out of town. We had a blast sitting inside and just eating and chatting it up with the owners. It is a must place for Lahmajun and desserts also their variety of products they sell. Koko

I”ve been going to Bread Basket bakery for over 25 years. Rita was always the kindest and cheerful shopkeeper I Know. I moved to Pismo Beach 10 years ago and hadn’t been there in a while. I was surprised that Rita had retired, but after meeting Michael and Sarah, really glad they are continuing the legacy. Michael and Sarah have really updated the place yet kept the friendly local feel. The Lahmajoon has been changed in many good ways. Bit crispier crust and a more sophisticated meat mixture. Throw in the handmade desserts that Sarah makes, and I will be going for the next 15 years each time I come to Fresno for my business. I have big mouth good when something is good and a big mouth when something is not good. This big mouth wants everyone to know this place is fantastic. Bobby Ohanian
